Regional School Table Tennis Competition 2016

The crowd of children at Škofije on 24.2.2016 indicated that something was happening here. And it really happened - the regional table tennis competition in the 2015/16 school year for pupils from primary schools in the Municipality of Koper and the Municipality of Izola. 63 pupils from 8 primary schools participated (Elvira Vatovec - Prade, Aleš Bebler Primož - Hrvatini, Primary School Koper, Primary School Šmarje, Pier Paolo Vergerio il Vecchio - Koper, Livade - Izola, Oskar Kovačič - Škofije and Vojke Šmuc - Izola).

In the team part of the competition (4 teams), the Primary School Livade Izola won the competition (6 points; 3 wins / no losses), while the other 3 teams finished the competition with 1 win and 2 losses (all 2 points). The final ranking was decided by the coefficient of won/lost sets: 1st place Primary School Livade Izola, 2nd place Primary School Aleš Bebler Primož Hrvatini (5/4), 3rd place Primary School Koper (5/5) and 4th place Primary School Oskar Kovačič Škofije (4/5).

The individual competition was held in three categories (separate for male and female students): A: 1st-9th grade (above 80 points on the NTZS scale), B: 1st-5th grade (above 80 points on the NTZS scale), C: 6th-9th grade (above 80 points on the NTZS scale).

◊ Boys (15): 1. Kocjančič Emanuel (PS Škofije), 2. Mitrič Saša, 3. Lakošeljac Benjamin (both PS Vojke Šmuc).
◊ Girls (2): 1. Zala Vidmar, 2. Serbuš Pifna Nives (both PS Koper).
Group C:
◊ Boys (29): 1. Palčič Valdi (PS Livade), 2. Žigon Aljaž (PS Škofije), 3. Aksonov Danylo (PS Koper ).
◊ Girls (14): 1. Kocjančič Jerica, 2. Kocjančič Tonka, 3. Gojkovič Kaja (all PS Hrvatini).
